Aeschliman Pays $9,374

According to the Des Moines Register
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007709230351
Dallas County Sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Aeschliman was ordered to pay Black Hawk County $9,374 for having welshed on his contract to stay in Waterloo for four years after Black Hawk County paid for his training. One wonders weather or nor this cost will become part of Deputy Aeschliman's Dallas County sign-on package. It is interesting that Black Hawk County had to file a lawsit in order to gain a settlement. That is a fairly hefty stipend to overlook in the recruitment process. Do you suppose that Deputy Aeschliman just forgot about this commitment or did the Dallas County Sheriff just sort of overlook this item thinking/ hoping that it would go away of it's own accord. One also wonders what County Attorney Wayne Reisetter's response to this lawsuit was. Let's ask him.
